About Pacific County PUD Telecom

The Pacific County PUD telecommunication network is a high speed, broadband network originally designed for the communication needs of the PUD electric system. Based on hundreds of miles of fiber optic cable, the PUD’s network enables effective monitoring and management of the electric system using active Ethernet equipment.

As an added benefit to PUD customers, the PUD wholesales telecommunication transport on the network to Retail Service Providers (RSPs) which, in turn, can offer ultra high speed broadband services. The PUD is focusing on building fiber out in areas that have no other wireline options.
