Energy Education

Upon request, the PUD provides to any school district within its service territory, Energy Education in the following programs and presentations:

• School Fair Displays or Presentations

• Electrical Safety

• Energy Conservation

• Demonstrations on how Electricity works

• Solar Car Races - In promoting renewable energy, the PUD sponsors Solar Car Races in cooperation with area schools.  Upon request, a staff member from Energy Services will work with a teacher or administrative staff in teaching students about solar energy and the mechanics of turning it into a useable resource (Solar Sprint Cars).

• Poster Contest - The PUD periodically sponsors poster contests for school children.  Financial incentives are awarded for the most creative posters for the given topic.
