Distribution Engineer

PUD No. 2 of Pacific County is seeking applications for a Distribution Engineer to assist the Chief Engineer with developing and maintaining the District’s Substations, Distribution and Transmission Systems for a Public Utility District in Southwest Washington serving approximately 17,150 customers.

Duties include, but are not limited to, developing plans, specifications and estimates for basic customer electric installations and modifications (residential and commercial), both overhead and underground. Analyze customer requirements, and work directly with the customer to assist with any problem(s) related to the electrical service. Maintain a readily available reference as to the status of customer related jobs. Supervise line crews in the absence of the Willapa Operations Manager and work on special projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Minimum qualifications include being a graduate from a four year accredited college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, four years experience and the ability to obtain a Washington State PE license. It is required that the applicant have working knowledge of personal computers with experience in GIS based applications. As a special requirement, each applicant must have a valid Washington State driver’s license, and acceptable driving record. Headquarters for the position is the District’s Willapa Operations Center in Raymond, Washington.

Salary, $5,805 to $7,617 per month DOE, plus benefits.
